Fabulous Disaster's songs are short, punky and mind-catching. They kind of remind me of L7 in that sense. But the theme of Fab D's songs are more consistant, or rather there is a theme. All their songs are about being frustrated and pissed off in one way or the other but almost in a funny, sarcastic and cute way. The singer is not as 'been-there done-that' as Donita Sparks and the vocals are "nice"; more teenage punky and more like

"singing" vocals in comparison to other punk girl singers. But don't you worry - they can scream. Most of the songs bring up issues in society so even though their songs can come across like kind of easy going there are messages behind the fast speed punk beat. I'd call Lynda Mandolyn the front figure of this band because she seems to be the one that I bump into when going out and she's also really awesome about keeping contact with all the people on the Fabulous Disasters mailing-list.
