Kathleen Hanna has an unmistakable voice - part pre-teen girl, part angst-ridden chick, part sexy woman and leader of the new revolution. What I love about this record is that it sounds as if she's taken out every musical instrument that she's had in her hall closet for the last 15 years, and every piece of crap musical instrument she could pick up for cheap at the pawn shoppe, and used them all to produce a body of music that could easily become the new trend very soon.
I love that she wrote a song about my favorite filmmaker, John Cassevettes, but I think my favorite track is the weird ode to her neighbors "Les & Ray".
