Shelley Cardiff. Guitarist. Vocalist. Bad Ass. Shelley has been in two of the coolest bands to ever come out of San Francisco. First time I saw her was with the fabulous BIMBO TOOLSHED - a band that actually still plays from time to time cuz their fans just won't allow them to break up.
Shelley's current rad ensemble is HELLFIRE CHOIR. The name alone kicks ass.
Joining Shelley in this band of fun and fury is guitarist Michelle Weeks, who actually sings lead on the track "Slave". Also adding to the gang 'o' girls power choruses is bassist Carmela Thompson. (P.S. - drummer Eric Davenport is a fox!)
You can get into a recording studio and scream and shout your lyrics and it could turn out to be a really bad idea. But when you scream and shout your lyrics in key, then it's pure brilliance. And HFC is a brilliant band. These chicks perfectly blur the lines between punk and metal. Dirty, filthy, evil riffs with funny, rowdy and not-so-politically correct lyrics...what could be better?
