Devil Girl - guitar

Vampire Girl - guitar
If Sergio Leone were writing a script about three creepy chicks living in their blood red hot rod Plymouth parked in a dark and damp cave on a beach in San Phantomcisco who had fetishes for big boots that sparkle . . . that script would SOUND like 'In The Night' by the fabulous Famous Monsters.
Two guitarists with either destruction or seduction on their minds (it's such a fine line, isn't it) and a stand-up drummer that wouldn't stop smiling is what I was treated to when I saw Famous Monsters open for Stone Fox in late 1998. Their lyrics consisted purely of screaming at frightful moments in their sleezy, speed-sick, and spooky compositions. And that's exactly what can be found on this, their debut record. It's instrumental madness, and leaves a faint fragrance of seaweed and Bubblicious in the air.
By the way, 'Devil Girl' is really Sean Yseult - former bassist in White Zombie.
