college students staring at her as they walk to the UC down the street. She doesn't want their fucking money. She just wants them to wake the fuck up and stop being assholes in J. Crew fashions. Every word Brody has written she sings from her gut. Her gravel, powerful voice pierces right through your tongue as you sing along to her angst. This is such a great band with its perfect songwriting. Punk is expected to be out of control but Brody has designed her chaos with hooks and sing-song melodies. (Except for two songs that are total screamfests and I have no fucking idea what the fuck she's saying.)
