John Lee Hooker
August 22, 1917 - June 21, 2001
Legendary Bluesman
Died in his sleep

| The Boom Boom Room in San Francisco is the club John Lee Hooker opened for blues players to make some noise. It's conveniently located across the street from the legendary Fillmore. I've been there once. I was ignored, pretty much. Too rock and roll, I guess. |

| The last photo session I saw of JLH - he was sitting on a couch in his house, the bathroom door behind him is open and you can see there's no more toilet paper on the spool. But then, over his other shoulder you see through the window a big Cadillac in the driveway. |
