Hi there. Well I am completely and utterly against war, and resent the implication that because I am not 'for' war I am 'for' the terrorists - even though we still don't know exactly who they are. Albert Einstein was also against the military, and no one calls him an asshole.
When they said they'd bombed the Red Cross warehouse, I burst into tears. So, since I am fortunate enough to live in a country where I enjoy freedom of speech, I exercised my right to e-mail The President to tell him I hated him. And I must say, I do not like feeling that emotion and don't believe in using up energy on that emotion. But I truly do hate that man.
I am in awe of Tony Blair, and am glad that George W. had the sense to get himself a spokesperson that can speak English, as that seems to be difficult for him.
This will only make matters much worse, for a very long time.
Pray for peace,
J.
And, while I had Johnette on the line giving me something for the Celebrity Skin page, I also slipped in a question about the status of her latest studio project. The original members of CONCRETE BLONDE have reunited and recorded a new album.
"Oh, the record - 'Group Therapy' will be out on Manifesto Records in January," Johnette told me. "It was written and recorded before the attack (in NYC), and now sounds very strange."
I get to see her here in Tucson on January 20th.
